Black Cat Ensemble's "Musical Storybook" presentation features excerpts from the book Drum Dream Girl by Margarita Engle. This family friendly presentation highlights music of Latin America, teaches students about Cuban dance rhythms, and explores the history of Millo Castro Zaldarriaga who broke Cuba's traditional taboo against female drummers.
